Bleached Poplar Packing Plywood for Pallet Collars

Product Introduction

Plywood Description

The core material of plywood is made from Chinese poplar veneer, which is peeled into thin veneers arranged crosswise with the grain. These veneers are then hot-pressed with an adhesive (usually environmentally friendly urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde) to form plywood sheets. Typical thicknesses range from 3mm to 25mm.

The plywood face is made from poplar wood that has undergone a special bleaching treatment. Chemicals (such as hydrogen peroxide and sulfites) or physical methods are used to remove the wood's natural pigments (such as tannins and lignin), resulting in a uniformly lighter color, resulting in a cool or warm white hue.

Good stability: Made from multiple layers of veneer wood glued together, plywood offers a stable structure with high compressive and bending strength, effectively protecting cargo from impact and crushing during transport. The plywood structure (interlaced veneers) resists cracking and deformation.

The smooth surface of bleached poplar wood facilitates labeling or branding, enhancing packaging aesthetics while reducing the risk of surface scratches.

Plywood Features:

1. Affordable: Poplar is a fast-growing species with low costs.

2. Lightweight and soft material: Poplar has a low density, making plywood lightweight, which reduces shipping costs while maintaining sufficient support.

3. Easy to process: It can be easily cut, drilled, nailed, or glued to accommodate various packaging needs, such as wooden boxes, pallets, and coaming boxes.

4. Moisture- and mildew-resistant: Ordinary plywood has a certain degree of moisture resistance. Special treatments (such as waterproof glue or lamination) can further enhance its moisture and mildew resistance, making it suitable for sea transportation and humid environments.
