PET MFC Description

PET Faced Chipboard is made of chipboard as substrate panel. Applied a layer of melamine on plain particle board, make it more smoother. and then PUR hot-melt adhesive is used to securely bond the PET film to the existing melamine faced chipboard.

PET Faced Chipboard has become one of the preferred materials for modern cabinet door panels due to its outstanding environmental protection, excellent physical properties (scratch resistance, stain resistance, chemical corrosion resistance), rich surface effects (high gloss/skin feel) and relatively reasonable price.

Cabinet Applications:

Cabinet Doors: PET Faced Chipboard is the mainstream choice for cabinet doors, offering a high cost-effectiveness, a wide selection of patterns, wear resistance, easy cleaning, and excellent stability. In dry environments such as bedrooms, living rooms, and study rooms, veneer particle board is an excellent choice for wardrobe doors, shoe cabinets, TV cabinets, bookcases, and other cabinets, balancing cost, aesthetics, and stability. However, pay attention to the length of the shelving to avoid excessive length that could cause warping.

Cabinet Body: Moisture-proofing is crucial during use! Moisture-resistant particle board is preferred. PUR edge banding is highly recommended to ensure a tight seal across all sections. If budget permits, multi-layer board is a more reliable option for the cabinet body.
