High Moisture Resistant Melamine Film Faced MDF

Plywood Description:
Medium Density fiberboard is made by crushing wood or other plant fibers (such as sawdust or wood shavings) into fine fibers, applying a synthetic resin (usually urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde), and then hot-pressing them under high temperature and pressure.
HMR MDF is widely used for high humidity environments such as shower room lockers, public shower room cabinets, public decoration environments near the sea, kitchen and bathroom furniture, toilet partitions, etc.
Melamine Film Faced MDF is a very common and economical board in modern furniture and decoration. Its core advantages are rich surface decorative effects, high flatness, easy processing and relatively low price.

The uniform and fine-grained internal structure of MDF and its exceptionally smooth surface make it an ideal substrate for various secondary processes, such as veneering and painting.

The melamine films surface is highly hard and abrasion-resistant, making it impervious to scratches. It is ideal for frequently touched surfaces such as tabletops, cabinet doors, and countertops. It is impervious to stains (such as oil, water, and ink) and can usually be cleaned with a damp cloth.
MDF Applications:
Furniture Manufacturing: Front panels, door panels, drawer panels, and side panels for wardrobes, bookcases, TV cabinets, cabinets (especially cabinet doors), bedside tables, and office furniture.
Interior Decoration: Wall panels, ceiling moldings, door frames, window frames, skirting boards (moisture-resistant), and interior door cores (with veneer or paint finish).
Exhibition Props: Exhibition display stands, counters, and prop production.
Door Panels: Interior doors, cabinet doors, etc. (usually finished with varnish or solid wood veneer and paint finish).
Physical Properties
Density: Typically 800-830 kg/m³, with high-end models reaching 1050-1200 kg/m³ (for enhanced deformation resistance).
Water Resistance: Wet static flexural strength ≥18 MPa after immersion in 70°C water. No deformation after short-term immersion (10 hours).
Thickness Range: Commonly available in 12mm, 15mm, and 18mm (for background walls and cabinets). Thin panels (5mm/9mm) are used for decorative surfaces, while thick panels (25mm) are used for load-bearing structures.
