LVL Description
LVL stands for Laminated Veneer Lumber. It's made by peeling or slicing logs into veneers, drying them, coating them with glue, and then assembling them along the grain. The result is a hot-pressed, glued-together lumber.
LVL can be over three times stronger than solid wood and reduces the effects of defects like knots and cracks, resulting in significantly better load-bearing, shock-resistance, and fatigue resistance than solid wood. Environmentally friendly glue is used to ensure lower formaldehyde emissions, ensuring safety for human health.
